UT 99 game help tweaks tips

i would like to share with you a few things, some of you may not know about game settings and tweaks
sometime when you are playing online, you may noticed a terrible low download speed. most of the time this is happening because your game is not set properly. there are two files inside your game directory, in the SYSTEM folder. these two files are named Default.ini and UnrealTournament.ini
edit these two files, search for the lines below and change the values to something like this:

file =>> Default.ini

[Engine.Player]
ConfiguredInternetSpeed=1000000
ConfiguredLanSpeed=1000000

--------------------------------
file =>> UnrealTournament.ini

[Engine.Player]
ConfiguredInternetSpeed=1000000
ConfiguredLanSpeed=1000000
--------------------------------
you will notice the increased download speed on the internet games, enjoy it

anytime you start the game (Unreal Tournament 99) you must wait a little and press ESC key to get into the game menu.
there is a little trick to avoid that.
you can replace the original map that does the delay, change it with something else.
in this case, the map that need to be changed is in the game directory, the MAPS folder, a file named CityIntro.unr
rename this file into something like CityIntro_unr.old do not delete the file, you may want to return to the original menu.
now you can copy the new file, you can download it from here: www.xor.endofinternet.net/ut/CityIntro.unr

if you want to take ingame screenshots in UT , this may help:
by default the SS key is F9
if F9 doesn't work, press the ~ key and type the following:

set input F9 sshot

you will find the SS's in the game , system folder as shot000*.bmp
just convert/resize them

dear aRapaima...i know the way to take ss is to press the key "print screen" ,but after to save it, must I open paint and to save, this for every ss, if I do as you do you say, does it save them all in automatic in the folder without passing from paint???

yes mate, it does save as *.bmp every time you press F9
so you can take as many SS as you want, you'll find them in the ut/system folder
anyway you will need to canvert them to *.jpg with some image manipulation program like irfan or else, because bmp files are too big to post them
